GOLD Turns 10

The next generation of College leaders celebrates the occasion.

In fiscal year 2018–19, we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Graduates Of the Last Decade program, better known as GOLD. Across the country and abroad, GOLD alumnae/i were out in full force, celebrating their ²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø connections. They comprise almost one fourth of ²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø's total alumnae/i base and are the next generation of College leaders, volunteers, and supporters.

Anassa kata, GOLD!

"GOLD is 10?! I remember the origination of GOLD, all thanks to Marissa Litman’s ’05 hard work and efforts. When she asked me to get involved and eventually become the first chair, it was a no-brainer. I am so thrilled to see what GOLD has accomplished and become and cannot wait to see all the amazing things GOLD will do to benefit current and future Mawrters that are yet to come!"

"Becoming the GOLD chair was an easy decision for me. ²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø gave me the educational foundation, critical thinking skills, and confidence to become a business leader. I wanted to give back to current and future Mawrters in a meaningful way, and engaging with my peers for fundraising was the best opportunity for me to do that."

—Elisa Sepulveda ’08

"I give both my time and money to ²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø because it challenged me to become a better person. Being a part of the GOLD committee for the past four years has been incredibly rewarding."
