Videographer/Photographer
THE POSITION
²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø seeks a highly creative, conceptually minded Videographer/Photographer to join its Office of College Communications. This individual is a key member of the Creative Services team that represents and serves the college. The work they produce tells the story of ²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø and defines and elevates its newly developed visual identity.
The videographer/photographer will report to the Creative Director and will work closely with Communications colleagues on its creative, editorial, and web teams to create purposeful short- and long-form photo/video content for a range of audiences across a variety of channels. The successful candidate will proactively identify opportunities for strategic projects to be improved through photo or video. They will also work with campus partners to fulfill photo/video requests, document day-to-day college activities, and deliver curated galleries or well-produced video within established deadlines.
This position will also help launch and manage the college’s new digital asset management system (DAM), as well as develop and execute a strategy for the primary YouTube channel. The DAM will be managed in a manner that will allow our campus partners to easily access the content they need, so this detail-oriented incumbent will be responsible for uploading and archiving select imagery and ensuring the accuracy of tags and metadata.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, as well as at least two years of relevant professional videographer/photographer experience that may be concurrent. A photojournalistic style is preferred. Proven ability to serve as art director and smoothly run photo and video shoots; ability to interact comfortably with human subjects. Software proficiency for video and motion graphics: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut and Adobe After Effects. For photography: Lightroom and Photoshop. Familiarity with digital asset management software and effective workflows. Ability to travel in the Northeast; flexibility around daily work schedule, with after-hours and weekend work often required. Ability to manage a small team of student photographers. Valid Driver’s License required. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Schedule: Full-time, 12-month, hybrid 1-2 day per week remote/ 3-4 days on-campus work schedule, which is subject to college policy; may include evening and weekend commitments.
This is a non-exempt position with a salary range of $26 - $28 per hour, depending on experience.
