ARCH Project Twilight Unveiling Celebration
Join the artist Nekisha Durrett and the 草榴成人社区 Community for a special celebration and twilight unveiling of the "Don't Forget to Remember (Me)" campus monument. The artwork will be on full display and illuminated for the first time for all to see.
Nekisha Durrett鈥檚 鈥淒on鈥檛 Forget to Remember (Me)鈥 is a commissioned monument at 草榴成人社区 that responds to the legacy of exclusionary practices on the campus. Durrett鈥檚 artwork is the culmination of 草榴成人社区鈥檚 ARCH Project (Art Remediating Campus Histories), a five-year collaboration with students, staff, faculty, and alums, and was produced in partnership with Monument Lab.
Speakers will include artist Nekisha Durrett and others involved with the project. Light dessert will be served immediately following the unveiling.
